BMW M6 Gran Coupe - Gentleman's Choice

As we suspected, it sports very similar firepower to its ‘standard' BMW M5 and M6 brethren. And by very similar, we mean identical: underneath that rather lovely body sits a 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine developing 552bhp and 502lb ft of torque

  • Official BMW M6 Gran Coupe press release:
In early summer 2013, the all-new BMW M6 Gran Coupe will join its famous BMW M5 Sedan and M6 Coupe siblings as what is perhaps the perfect combination of both. The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is an ultra-high performance, four-door Coupe design with stunning aesthetics, race-bred technology, and the signature driving character of BMW M GmbH.

The M6 Gran Coupe is made instantly unique among four-door vehicles by its bonded-in carbon fiber composite roof panel, similar to the one found on the M6 Coupe. Between the doors is a cabin of sensational coupe-like design and first-class materials. The M6 Gran Coupe’s control placement and – equally important – control feel are second to none. The four-plus-one seating arrangement allows the M6 Gran Coupe to carry four adults in luxury, and offers maximum seating capacity for five when needed.

The new M6 Gran Coupe features the most powerful engine ever fitted to an M production car, a 4.4-liter M TwinPower Turbo V-8 with 560 horsepower and an always-accessible 500 lb-ft of torque. With this endowment, the rear-wheel drive BMW M6 Gran Coupe practically rockets from 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds and reaches an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph in only a few seconds more.

The new BMW M6 Gran Coupe focuses the gargantuan muscle of its engine on the road through one of the most advanced drivetrains BMW has ever developed. The high-torque 7-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT) borrowed from the M5 and M6 Coupe sends power uninterrupted to the innovative Active M Differential, which in turn perfectly balances power between the rear wheels. This advanced drivetrain, combined with truly radical chassis and suspension revisions to the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe on which the car is based, ensure that the M6 Gran Coupe’s substantial output is transferred to the ground predictably and repeatedly.

  • Competes with: Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG and E63 AMG, Audi RS7
  • Looks like: BMW's baddest four-door gets the M treatment
  • Drive train: 560-hp, twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 engine with seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission
  • Hits dealerships: Early summer.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG - Look Like Hot

Mercedes-Benz's highly anticipated SLS AMG, which takes the iconic 300SL Gull wing to the next generation, is a true gentleman's exotic coupe.

The result of those 20 extra miniature horses crammed underneath the GT’s long hood is, Mercedes estimates, a 0-to-60-mph time reduced by 0.1 second, to 3.6 seconds—we’ve hit 60 in 3.5 seconds with an SLS coupe—and an electronically limited top speed of 197 mph, which is the same as your grandfather’s old SLS AMG. If shaving a tenth from the 0-to-60 sprint doesn’t do it for you, take comfort in knowing that the GT comes with “passionate acoustic feedback for the driver.” That’s more of the snap, crackle, and pop off-throttle we’ve grown to love. Audio enhancement is done naturally, Mercedes tells us; that means no synthetic exhaust notes piped through the stereo system like some other German brands that shall remain nameless.

Lamborghini Aventador Look Like Hot

Lamborghini is really good at creating sinister super sports cars, but it is equally as talented at naming them. According to the company, "Aventador" was the name of a bull that entered into battle on October 1993 at the Saragossa Arena, earning the "Trofeo de la Pena La MadroƱera" for its outstanding courage. Having the courage to go up against a new world of super sports cars will be the name of the game for the new Lamborghini flagship. Today’s world is extremely high-tech and many new players have entered the arena.

"Aventador" was, according to the best detective work we can muster, a bull whose career peaked in 1993 in the town of Saragozza, Spain, when he and the torero had a particularly spirited encounter prior to ol' Aventador's inevitable skewering.

Maybach 62

The vehicle has a strong engine that makes it tough to compare to other types of vehicles. The engine comes from Mercedes-Benz and is a 5.5L twin-turbo V12 550 hp engine. This is a strong engine that can get a vehicle to go from zero to eighty miles per hour in less than ten seconds.
The wheels are twenty inches in size and are about half an inch lower than that of other vehicles. This adds to the luxury and the feel that the vehicle has as one is riding in it.
All parts of the vehicle can work with their own personal climates. Individual seat climate controls are available.
Quite similar to the 57, the Maybach 62 was also one of the first models to be launched in the market as an alternative to the Rolls Royce and Bentley cars. The Maybach 62 is primarily made as a chauffer driven vehicle and the number 62 signifies the length of the car in decimeters. The Maybach 62 is one notch above the 57 and includes enhanced premium luxury features apart from the ones which are present in the 57 like full reclining seats, AirMatic dual control air suspension, folding rear tables, display instruments on the rear roof liner etc!

Maybach, the luxury brand with an illustrious past, re-established just four years ago, is adding a fourth variant to its line-up in the shape of the newly developed 62 S model. The "S" stands for "Special" and draws attention to the fact that the Maybach engineers at the Sindelfingen-based Manufaktur workshops have incorporated a wealth of meticulously developed, special features specified by their highly discerning customers into the new 62 S model. The result is a new dimension in travelling comfort, especially for the passengers in the generously proportioned rear compartment of the new high-end luxury saloon. Not to mention a prodigious power output thanks to the enhanced potency of the twelve-cylinder engine developing 450 kW/612 hp, making the new 62 S model the world's most powerful chauffeur-driven saloon in series production.

Chrysler 300 SRT8

The redesigned 2011 Chrysler 300 took a leap forward in refinement, but the large sedan's makeover didn't come with an SRT8 variant. No worries, though, because the all-new, more powerful and damn sharp-looking 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 is debuting today at the 2011 New York Auto Show.

All that power is worthless without proper stoppers, so Chrysler engineers fitted 14.2-inch front rotors and 13.8-inch discs out back, while four-piston Brembo calipers supply the bite. Chrysler's tape measure reveals that these high-end brakes manage to bring this undoubtedly heavy sedan (the last generation SRT8 tipped the scales at 4,046 lbs) from 60 mph to a stand-still in under 120 feet.
