Arrinera Supercar 2012 New Model Car

The Arrinera is its striking, albeit a little Lamborghini-esque, styling. The second thing you will notice is its name. The company is Arrinera Automotive and its first car will be called the Arrinera.

 

The Arrinera will be available as both a coupe and roadster. The car is powered by the ZR1’s 6.2-liter V-8 tuned to create 650 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque. The mid-mounted engine will power the rear wheels through a Graziano gearbox. The body of the car is constructed entirely from carbon fiber and Kevlar composites to keep weight down to under 3,000 pounds and ensure extreme performance numbers. Initial tests have the car accelerating to 62 mph from a standstill in 3.2 seconds and reaching 124 mph only 5.7 seconds later. The car’s ceramic 15-inch discs with six-piston calipers at the front and 13.8-inch ceramic discs with four-piston calipers at the back will drag to the car to a quick halt at breakneck speeds. Zero–124–0-mph will take 14.3 seconds, which is on par with the Ferrari Enzo.
